SHORT CASE

A 35 year old male patient, resident of Motukur, labourer by occupation is undergoing dialysis since 10 months. He was diagnosed with hypertension 2 years ago. He took the medication for hypertension and then stopped abruptly for 2 months. 
He is undergoing dialysis twice a week since 10 months.

General Examination: 
The patient is conscious, cooperative, coherent and is moderately built and well nourished.
Pallor : Absent
Icterus : Absent
Cyanosis : Absent
Koilonychia : Absent
Lymphadenopathy : Absent
Edema : Present - bipedal edema , pitting type

Abdominal examination shows : mild Abdominal distension.
Diagnosis: 
Chronic kidney disease with bipedal edema.

Investigations: 
Haemogram
Complete urine examination
Renal function test
Liver function tests
